Heavy focused eyes hidden inside signals from satellites. We slip blinking by shouldering high the weight of several lives. We all fall in line as we decide that which we must sacrifice. We appreciate that we’ll never find the happenstance keeping us alive. Let’s fold back the ceiling to let this sun inside shed some light on sick shapes in the shadows If we lose all feeling Oh honey I don’t mind a little numbness will be the least of our troubles We were understated to a fault to a fault this glacial pace is not enough It gets easier to say that I’m alright. It gets easier to say that I’m just fine. It gets easier.

Say you remember our neighborhoods. Will our faces haunt the spaces we once stood? Or have I forgotten? Girl, I wish I could. Bloodshed and tragedy still plagues these woods. But I don’t understand them. Our neighborhood ghosts seek witnesses. "Please don’t surrender." And "keep up that fight." An audible rolling of eyes. No hell is under musk melon sky. These ghosts are lazy. These ghosts don’t have the time. If you said something along the lines of giving up. I couldn’t blame you anymore But If you can’t feel them. Somehow they’ll learn to let it go. They couldn't blame you anymore.

I couldn’t stand for weeks on end. Head in the sand. Could I please just leave it in? It seems fine. No light, no time. I wrote it down Everything that I said. Sick of these same words But I just keep speaking them. It seems fine. No light, no time. Folded my hand Again and again. These sinking feelings Just lead me to sinking ships. It seems fine. No light, no time. Squandered remains Of this fortunate grip. Fingers are useless appendages without hands. It seems fine. No light, no time.
